Flaunt It Friday's Blog Hop

Good morning my creative friends and welcome to the Flaunt It Friday's Blog Hop. I hope everyone had a great week, and has an even better weekend! We are expecting another snow storm here in NY, so I will probably be staying home and playing in my craft room. If you just stopped by to say hi, or you got lost, you can start the blog hop at the beginning by clicking http://flauntitfridays.blogspot.com. Otherwise, you should have arrived here from the talented Paula's blog. This is such a fun blog hop because it is all about Hello Kitty. I know as a kid I loved her, and I still do. You just can't seem to ever out grow this cutie. For this week's Flaunt It Friday's challenge we had to use the airplane cut on page 65 from the Hello Kitty Greetings Cartridge. Not to worry if you do not have this cartridge you can still play along with us, just chose a similar cut from a different cartridge. Here is what I came up with
I picked this storage tin up at our local craft store on clearance for $1.00. It has been sitting in my craft room for the past couple of months just waiting to be altered. I decided to turn it into a traveling case for a child. I thought it would be cute for a little girl to take with her on trips.
Recipe:
Storage tin
Hello Kitty Greetings:  Kitty in Airplane 2.5 inches, plane embossed with Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Folder, Cloud 3 inches, embossed with Tim Holtz Swirls Folder
Once Upon a Princess: Tag (third layer) 3.5 inches
Paper Studio: Patterned Paper
Stampin' Up: Solid Card Stock
Martha Stewart Border Punch
Ribbon, Bling, Stickles

Next, the Design Team got to pick whatever cut they wanted for our next project. I chose to use the Hello Kitty on page 50.

I made a little journal that fits perfectly into the little travel case. She can take it along with her on trips to keep a journal of her vacations. There is still plenty off room in the little case for crayons, a coloring book, and even some note cards to take along so she can write to friends or family while away. To make the journal  I cut two pieces of chipboard 4X4 for the front and back. I covered it with designer paper and binded it with the cinch.

Recipe:
Hello Kitty Greetings: Hello Kitty with Balloon 3 inches
Paper Studio: Patterned Paper
Solid Paper: Scraps
Letters: Thickers inked with Stampin' Up Classic Ink Pads
Cinch, Ribbons, Chipboard, Martha Stewart Border Punch

Our sponsor, Sarah from http://www.pinkcricut.com/,  has donated one of her brand new stamp sets as a grand prize, Love Always. In order to qualify you must leave a comment on all the blogs in the hop.

Of course I am offering my personal blog candy. In order to qualify please become a follower and leave a comment.  Here is what I am offering

You have until Monday night at midnight to leave a comment under this post. I will announce the winner here on Tuesday.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope that you got some inspiration:) Your next stop is the talented Michelle you can visit her blog here http://mumoftwoblog.blogspot.com.
