Hello crafting friends. Welcome to day one of my Halloween week. This is my favorite time of year. I love everything about it: the cooler weather, changing leaves, pumpkin coffee YUM, apple and pumpkin picking, and great opportunities to take some fun family photos. This week I will have a Halloween project for you everyday and some fun blog candy. I hope that you have fun visiting and get some ideas that you can use. For today I have decorated some little treat bags, and created some matching cards:
Here are the cards:
For all of the little images I used Stampin' Up "Batty For You" stamp set, and stamped them using SU Classic Ink. The images are stamped on a 1 3/8 circle punch, and then layered on a 1 3/4 circle punch and then a 2 3/8 scallop punch. They could have been stamped on smaller punches, but I accidentally ordered the wrong sizes! It still worked out fine though. I pop dotted each layer, and also used a pop dot to adhere them to the cards, and the cellophane bags. I did some heat embossing on the spider card using SU white embossing powder, and added some twine to tie it shut. I used some bling bling tinsel string on the Frankie card, and added a few candi embellishments. For the pumpkin card I used my Martha Stewart edge punch (don't know the name) and added some ric rak. I kept them super simple, but think I dressed them up just enough. Here are the treat bags:
The cellophane bags are from SU and measure 1x8. I put skittles in mine, but they would also be great for M&M's, Gum Balls, Reese's Pieces..you get the point. All of the solid card stock is from SU and the patterned paper is from last years K&Company "Halloween" stack. Here is a close up of the tops of the bags:
I tied a bow on each one of the bags with bling bling tinsel string from the Prairie Bird Boutique., I had a lot of fun making this little set of cards and treat bags! Every year we always put aside special treats for certain friends and family, I will use these to give to my next door neighbors kids.
I wanted to giveaway similar items that I used on my project today. Since Halloween will be practically over by the time I announce all the winners and get everything out, I chose items for the Winter Holiday Season. The first is "Jolly Bingo Bits" stamp set from SU. Here is a picture of the images. I could not take an actual picture of the set because then you would not be able to see the images, so this is from the SU site:
This set coordinates with a Bingo Card Stamp, but works great with circle punches too. The second give away is the little cellophane bags:
And the third is "Dear Santa" bling tinsel string:
One random winner will receive all three of the giveaways today. All you need to do is:
leave me a comment and become a follower of my blog if you are not already. You will have until this Sunday night at midnight to leave a comment under all the post from this week. All winners will be announced on Wednesday, October 12. For those of you who stop by everyday and leave a comment under each post for the week you will be entered into a random drawing and receive a Scrap' n Tote:
This Friday night at 7pm EST is our Halloween Whimsical Wednesday blog hop. After you finish up here hop on over to this post to find out more information and for a chance to win the Flower Shop Cricut Cartridge. We also have two fun challenges opened.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed my little project.

Stephanie, these are FANG-tastic...pardon the pun...I'm a cornball! I love the color coordination and the embellishments are super. What an awesome giveaway, too. I am doing treat bags for our Halloween Party at the end of the month, and boy, those skinny cellophane bags would've been a lot easier than brown paper bags...oh well! I guess that is why I blog, to learn from others. So happy to be joining the party, and I can't wait to see your daily creations. Hope to be able to hop this weekend, too. Smiles!!!
:O)
