Halloween Week: Day Five

I have a new blog and a new blog name. I thought it only fitting to change my name to Whimsical Designs since my challenges are Whimsical Wednesdays. I have some exciting things coming very soon and  I really wanted a fresh new look. Madeline has rocked it once again. I love my new look and it came out just how I envisioned it! Madeline is still putting some finishing touches to my sidebar, so you may still see a few changes here and there:)

Good morning crafting friends. I hope you have enjoyed the Halloween week. I know that there is a lot of issues with blogger, and many of you have e-mailed me letting me know that you can't comment. On any days that you e-mailed me you will be added to the drawing for that day, and if it was everyday then you will be added into the drawing for the grand prize as well. I am going to have to write all the names down and put them in a bag. So with that being said, I am going to leave this opened until Tuesday night at midnight with the hopes that blogger will improve, or if not you can e-mail me with your comment. Please put in the subject line what day your comment is for. All the winners will then be announced next Friday. It is going to take me time to get it all sorted. The reason this post is even going up late is because I hit publish, and instead of publishing it deleted. Okay, now onto my project. I could not let the week go by without using my favorite paper line of all time..Halloween In Wonderland by Graphic 45:
If you are not familiar with this paper line, it is one of those that is so beautiful all by itself, that you don't need to add lots of embellishments. For the card I layered solid cardstock from Stampin' Up and patterned paper from the collection. I fussy cut Alice off of one of the pages and pop dotted her. The little Halloween sign is one of the cut outs. I used the Happy Haunting Stamp Set from My Craft Spot for the sentiment, and then distressed the paper with Tim Holtz Peeled Paint Ink. I made the flower and put a little pearl in the center, sprinkled it with Diamond Dust, and finished it off by spraying my Tattered Angels, Huckleberry. I tied Vintage Twine around the bottom, also from My Craft Spot. I cut the little treat box the Yummy Cartridge, and the pumpkin from Gypsy Wanderings. I used Perfect Pearls on the pumkin, and stamped Hocus Pocus on the inside, also from the Happy Haunting Stamp Set from My Craft Spot.  The pumpkin is tied onto the box with the vintage twine.
I can't say enough good things about the quality of these stamps. I had first stamped the sentiment and then covered it with perfect pearls. It then became very hard to see the sentiment so I stamped right over where I had first stamped it and it still is perfect. Perfect pearls is gritty too, I never expected to be able to stamp over it:)
My sponsor for today is Kimberly from My Craft Spot:

She has donated a package of the vintage twine: Thank you KIM!:)
All you need to do is: leave me a comment and become a follower of my blog if you are not already. You will have until this Tuesday night at midnight to leave a comment under all the post from this week. All winners will be announced on Friday, October 14. For those of you who stop by everyday and leave a comment under each post for the week you will be entered into a random drawing and receive a Scrap' n Tote:
Tonight at 7:00pm EST is our Halloween Whimsical Wednesday blog hop. The Whimsical designers have crafted up some wicked fun Halloween projects for you! We have a nice lineup of sponsors, and I am sure there will be some blog candy along the way.

Thank you for stopping by today. See all tonight:)

These are gorgeous Stephanie! I have to say that G45 Halloween in Wonderland is my favorite Halloween collection too (though I don't own it sadly). I love the box. I am glad to know these stamps will work over gritty stuff - that pumpkin looks gorgeous with the perfect pearls. I have never tried any of these products, but I sure would like to.

I don't think I will be able to hop tonight sadly as it is my daughter's 14th bday tomorrow and I will have about 20 teenagers at my house tonight. But if I can sneak away, I will do it. In fact, I think I will borrow her laptop and just sit in the middle of them and hop anyway! Just thought of that - I may see you tonight after all :)

Thanks for this fun week full of incredible inspiration! In case you can't tell, I am posting this on Friday!

Wow. That paper really is cool. Love the fussy cutting. I used to do a lot of that, but my darn RA and ET don't allow for it anymore. So I just live vicariously through others' fussy cutting! :D
