This was not such a pleasant visit with Santa.... I am sure you can tell that by the photos. I did not have the pleasure of being at this meeting with "Santa" but from what my parents tell me he had a little too much "Soda" (cough cough) to drink. These pictures have been on my fridge since last Christmas and I thought it was time to pull them down and put them in the 2010 scrapbook. I am so excited because these two pages complete my first scrapbook. Yipee:) To meet the challenge requirements this week, I used a Martha Stewart around the page punch. I am on the edge, I mean on the fence about these. This is the first time I ever used them and they would not match up for me. It is far from perfect and normally I would have threw the pages out, but I figured I would share my struggle with you all and see if you have had any better luck, or have any tips. For my reindeer I used the Create A Critter cart, the journaling tag is from Winter Woodland (that cart has great tags), and the presents are from Winter Frolic. I stamped "No Peeking" on the little tag and attached it to Santa's sack with some twine.
For my journaling tag I stamped the "Reindeer Crossing" sentiment. I thought that was very fitting. Both of those sentiment are from my "Snow Much Fun" stamp set. You can see all four sets in my first stamp release in my shop.
It is with much excitement to bring you the first projects of 2012 from the Whimsical Team:)
Everyone did such a wonderful job with their projects! Great variety, and fun ideas for borders, and punches. Please be sure you hop on over to the designers blogs for all the details on the projects..and to leave some bloggy love! They really do deserve it!

Wow, awesome layout! I love a cute Christmas layout and double page layouts are the best. The DT made some beautiful projects too! Hugs- Glora
Stephanie, is this ever cute! I love the "big picture" of your layout, with those reindeer flying straight across from the first page to the next. The papers are gorgeous and the reindeer with their cute little faces are just adorable. Love the cute little embellies, especially the little lights. I think your border punch job has a great funky, random look to it. I might not have even noticed the little mis-punches if you didn't mention it and I admire that you posted it just as it is....let's us all see there is a slight learning curve to new techniques and allows us to each learn from each other. That's what it's all about, right? I think you finished off your first scrapbook with a huge hit!
To all of the Whimsies...another amazing week of layouts and cards. I am always inspired by your projects and love the big and little techniques and ideas I walk away with each week. YOU ROCK!
Aww Stephanie, this such a whimsically lovely Christmas LO! (And congrats on completing a scrapbook! Such a huge accomplishment.) The little reindeer are so sweet and I absolutely love that gorgeous sleigh filled with beautiful gifts. The embellishments sprinkled throughout are adorable accents. I've never used an around the page punch so I cannot offer any wisdom... I have a hard time just getting my MS Doily Lace border punch to be even! I still think your border looks great. Fluttering snowflakes don't need to be perfectly spaced. :o) Such a bummer about the bad Santa, but your LO for the memory is lovely, my dear friend. :o)
Hugs and blessings!
AWESOME job with your layout Stephanie!I LOVE the little reindeers and the pictures, looks AMAZING!Great challenge this week. All the DT did a FANTASTIC job as always!!:)
I just adore this layout! The reindeer are so cute and I think your border looks just fine! The snowflakes are wondrful and I love how you added the "no peeking" on the presents!
How fun! I used your favorite card from you last post as inspiration for a 2 page layout for this challenge! I "lifted" your cute little sun and tree idea. How fun! Thanks for the challenge and the chance to win.
Adorable layout, Steph! Love those sweet reindeer! Glad to hear I'm not the only one challenged by those frickin' punch around the page dealies. I would have never even attempted trying to do it on such a large piece. I think it looks just fine. Fabulous job and also your DT examples. Fun challenge. xxD
Hello stephanie & Happy New Year!
Hope all is going well.
I am catching up on blogging & with followers and finally am here.
I have missed browsing & chatting.
Hope santa was good to you.
You certainly have been busy creating some outstanding crafts.
I enjoyed catching up.
I am currently borrowing a computer as mine is getting a viral cleaning due to viruses.
I am supposed to get it back in 3-4 days but by then I will be gone. My mom is having surgery in Florida & needs me to help so I am off to take care of her.
I will do my best to stop by if I get computer access. She does not own one.
My nearest relative lives 25 minutes away & would have to bring me their laptop.
Anyway I just wanted to say hi, congratulate you on all your success & wish you a wonderful 2012.
Crafty best wishes my friend,
Sonia
Hello Stephanie,
I would like to thank you for stopping by my blog today and all the kind words. I am somewhat new to blogging and paper crafts and yes I just deleted my other blog, I didn't even think to try to rename it. ;(
I could visit your blog all day, thanks for sharing your creativity. I will have to participate in a challenge one day.
Again thanks for stopping by and I am now a new follower of you.
